Running in honor of: My late Aunt Katie Burns ❤️

Bio: My name is William Burns, and I am a senior at Wake Forest University serving on the Executive Team for Hit The Bricks. Hit the Bricks is an annual Wake Forest campus-wide fundraiser to benefit the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Foundation and the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. As one of the External Relationship Chairs, I am incredibly honored for the opportunity to reach out to ask for your support. Just over a month ago, our family lost a loved one to cancer. Katie Burns was a wonderful wife, mom, daughter, aunt, cousin, friend, and fierce competitor who lost her battle at the young age of 47. I have set a personal goal to raise $5,000.00 in Katie’s memory and to complete 47 laps, Hitting the Bricks for each year of Katie’s life.
