Running in honor of: Mrs. April Jones Hardy ~ a beautiful soul, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Bio: I am the Graduate Student Association (GSA) Vice President for the Academic year 2024-2025. I am pursuing licensure as a clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Wake Forest University, with plans to graduate in 2025. Before this, I worked for the Winston-Salem Police Department as a Narcotics Detective and for the North Carolina Army National Guard as a Company Commander for 30 years collectively. I am participating in this event in honor of Mrs. April Jones Hardy (August 6, 1968 - October 16, 2023), a friend who was married to one of my childhood "day-one" friends. April is survived by her husband and two daughters. April was beloved by many, and her absence is palpable. Beyond my professional pursuits, I cherish spending time at home with my family and beloved pets. Go Deacs!!!
