Qiong Zhang

Bio: Qiong Zhang is an associate professor at the Department of History and the director of the interdisciplinary minor in East Asian Studies. She has conducted research and teaching at Harvard, UC Berkeley, UCLA, WCSU, and SIUC before joining Wake Forest University in 2008. She teaches courses on Chinese history and the history divisional, "HST 103, World Civilization to 1500." Her research focuses on late Imperial Chinese science and society and early modern global encounters. Besides work she enjoys singing, walking, and aerobic exercises.
