Running in honor of: My Grandfather

Bio: Hi! My name is Finley Beard and I am from Summit, New Jersey. I am a current freshman at Wake Forest University and I am a new member of the Hit the Bricks ambassador team. I am excited to participate in this campus event in order to honor my Grandfather who passed away from cancer in 2011. Throughout high school I played competitive ice hockey for the New Jersey Colonials and I played on my school’s girls ice hockey team, eventually being named captain for my senior year. I also enjoyed playing varsity level field hockey at my high school and running in my free time. I am honored to be a part of this prestigious Wake Forest event and community!
