Running in honor of: My grandmother and great-grandmother

Bio: Hi! My name is Ellie DeMinico, and I’m honored to serve as this year’s Junior Director for Hit the Bricks 2025. Over my time at Wake Forest, I’ve had the privilege of being part of this incredible event in numerous capacities, and it has quickly become my favorite tradition on campus. I run for my grandmother and great-grandmother, both of whom battled and beat cancer, and seeing firsthand how this disease impacts so many lives motivates me to work even harder to raise funds for the groundbreaking research happening through the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund at Wake Forest Baptist. Thank you so much for your support! Your generosity not only fuels our fundraising efforts, but it also brings hope to countless families, honors those impacted by cancer, and helps us carry forward the legacy of this long-standing Wake Forest tradition!
