Running in honor of: My best friend

Bio: Hi! I am Ella Yates, and I am a freshman at Wake Forest University. I’m excited to be participating in Hit the Bricks at Wake Forest University to raise money for Brian Piccolo Cancer Research, which is a cause that is deeply personal to me. In 2025, I lost my best friend of 16 years to leukemia. While her story is hers to tell, the strength, and hope she taught me continues to shape who I am. I’m honored to carry those lessons forward by supporting cancer research and working toward a future where more families can experience hope. Thank you for your help turning her memory into hope for others.
